A year has passed since a tragic stampede occurred at Hyderabad’s Sandhya theatre during the release of Allu Arjun’s film, Pushpa 2. The incident led to the death of Revathi and left her child, Sri Teja, severely injured. Sri Teja continues to recover from the injuries sustained.
Recently, unfounded reports circulated on social media and some online platforms. These reports suggested that Sri Teja’s father, Bhaskar, struggled with medical costs for his son’s rehabilitation, claiming Allu Arjun had not responded to requests for further assistance.
Earlier today, producer Bunny Vas, a close associate of Allu Arjun, addressed these claims. He clarified that the actor has been providing full support to the affected family.
Now, producer Dil Raju has stepped in to clarify the ongoing speculation. The Telangana government appointed him as a mediator between the family and the actor. Dil Raju met with Sri Teja’s father, Bhaskar, to verify the child’s current health status.
He confirmed that Allu Arjun provided 2 Crores in financial aid following the incident, which was placed in a fixed deposit under Sri Teja’s name. Additionally, the actor covered medical expenses totaling 70 lakhs for the child’s treatment. The monthly interest from this deposit helps fund Sri Teja’s ongoing care and the family’s living costs.
Sri Teja’s father, Bhaskar, spoke to the press, explaining he had asked Allu Arjun and Allu Arvind, through Dil Raju, for more financial help. This additional support would allow Sri Teja to continue rehabilitation for several more months, aiming for a quicker recovery. Dil Raju stated that Allu Arjun responded favorably, agreeing to supply the necessary funds to extend treatment for the next six months to a year, until Sri Teja makes a complete recovery.
