Salman Khan’s new teaser generates little excitement. Salman Khan celebrated his 60th birthday on Saturday, offering fans a first look at his next film, Battle of Galwan. This movie is reportedly based on the well-known 2020 Galwan Valley confrontation between Indian and Chinese forces. Apoorva Lakhia, recognized for directing Shootout at Lokhandwala, is at the helm of this project.
The brief one-minute teaser shows Salman Khan portraying a brave Indian army officer, characterized by a calm presence and subtle strength. The preview begins with a patriotic feel, featuring soldiers’ chants as the camera moves across scenic mountain valleys, culminating in Salman Khan’s impactful appearance. He guides a group of soldiers prepared for combat against adversaries approaching from the other side.
Beyond Salman Khan’s strong screen presence, the teaser offers little else to praise. Only the close-up shots focusing on Salman and the evocative background music stand out in the preview.
Since the film draws from actual events concerning a conflict between two nations, many anticipated the creators would deliver a powerful and gripping preview. Such a preview would ideally excite viewers immediately and increase interest in the film. However, the teaser lacks these strong points, causing some disappointment among fans and moviegoers.
The teaser’s reception has been rather modest, as it contains no compelling features. The creators will need to develop more effective promotional strategies soon to generate substantial excitement for the film before its release next summer.
Battle of Galwan is scheduled for theatrical release on April 17, 2026. Salma Khan produced the film under the Salman Khan Films banner. The cast also includes Chitrangada Singh, Abhilash Chaudhary, Ankur Bhatia, and several other actors in key roles.
