The case involving Ibomma chief Ravi Immadi continues to surprise, with a new development emerging. This significant update in the investigation of I BOMMA administrator Imandi Ravi is providing fresh insights.
Police revealed that Ravi had obtained a PAN card and a driving license using the name Prahlad Vellela. During earlier questioning, Ravi claimed Prahlad was his roommate, which prompted authorities to locate and summon Prahlad for further inquiry.
Prahlad was brought from Bengaluru and questioned by police in the presence of Imandi Ravi, who remains in custody. However, the questioning took an unexpected turn when Prahlad reportedly informed investigators he had no knowledge of who Imandi Ravi was.
He expressed shock upon learning his name had allegedly been misused to acquire official identity documents. Prahlad firmly denied any personal or professional connection with Ravi.
According to police sources, Prahlad works as a software professional in Bengaluru and has no known ties to the activities under investigation. Based on his statements and initial verification, police now suspect Imandi Ravi may have illegally accessed or stolen Prahlad’s personal documents to create false identification.
Investigators are still examining how Ravi obtained these documents and whether other individuals were involved. This new information has added a different aspect to the case and reinforced suspicions of identity fraud.
The allegations of identity theft against Ravi Immadi mark a serious turn in the ongoing police investigation, as authorities continue to piece together the full extent of the alleged fraud.
