RGV Slams Shivaji Over Heroines’ Attire at Raja Saab Event

Published on:

The controversy surrounding actor Shivaji’s remarks on heroines’ attire at outdoor events, suggesting they wear sarees to avoid being mobbed, shows no signs of ending. Despite his partial apology and a subsequent appearance before the Women’s Commission to apologize again, figures like Ram Gopal Varma are not backing down from their criticism.

Just recently, the outspoken senior director once more targeted Shivaji directly. He shared a picture of Prabhas’s three heroines—Nidhie Aggerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar—from the Raja Saab pre-release event. The director commented that their choice of clothing was a direct challenge to those with opposing views.

RGV posted on his X page, “All 3 heroines of #Prabhas Nidhi, Malavika and Riddhi din’t care about moral barkings of Shivaji and his vitriolic batch at #RajaSaab event and wore exactly what they want to wear. Hats off to you 3 HEROES for giving tight face slap to those VILLAINS (sic)”.

Naturally, Shivaji’s supporters and admirers are reacting strongly to Varma’s persistent taunting, as he continues to criticize the actor for his comments. Many who have seen the glamorous pictures of Nidhi, Malavika, and Riddhi largely agree with Varma’s statements. Meanwhile, Shivaji’s followers are responding with more traditional and contradictory remarks.

A tweet from Tupaki highlighted the ongoing debate, stating: “#Prabhas’ Heroines Slapped Them, Says Maverick Director #RamGopalVarma Slamed #Sivaji and Co’s saree remarks. Sharing pictures of Prabhas’ #RajaSaab heroines from the film’s pre-release event, he said, “These ladies slapped the likes of Sivaji” #RGV #TheRajaSaab…”
