This trend now includes a number of Telugu anchors, particularly women, who have joined various political parties and taken on roles. The latest to express a desire to enter politics is Ariyana Glory, another well-known female anchor.

Many prominent anchors have already experienced politics, from Shyamala, who is very active in the YSR Congress Party, to newsreader Rani Rudrama, who ran in an election and was unsuccessful, and Udayabhanu. Ariyana is currently making it clear she wants to contest elections, aiming for a position as an MLA or even a ward councillor.

The TV personality, who gained recognition following her much-discussed interview with Ram Gopal Varma and later appeared on the Bigg Boss Telugu reality show, has not yet named a specific constituency or political party she intends to join. However, she believes that working in public service would enable her to tackle important issues affecting citizens.

Even though elections in Telangana are still several years away, it appears Ariyana is signaling to political parties that she is available for their consideration. Beyond her work as a show host, Ariyana is also active as an actor and maintains a strong presence on social media.
