For fans who have seen a series of unsuccessful films from the Mega family, 2026 brings renewed optimism for a significant return to form. From Megastar Chiranjeevi to Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan to Allu Arjun, Sai Dharam Tej, and Varun Tej, these prominent actors have all previously delivered consecutive hits. While Pawan Kalyan achieved a big success with #OG, and Allu Arjun gained national recognition with Pushpa 2’s strong performance, other Mega heroes have faced a challenging period lately.
After films like Acharya and Bhola Shankar did not perform well, Chiranjeevi is now expected to deliver a major hit this Sankranthi with Anil Ravipudi’s Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu. Additionally, his other movie, the VFX-heavy fantasy Vishwambhara, is scheduled for release later this year. Supporters are looking forward to Chiranjeevi achieving two successful releases this time around.
Meanwhile, despite significant anticipation following RRR, Ram Charan’s Game Changer did not perform as expected last Pongal. Fans now anticipate a strong performance from him with Peddi, especially since the Buchi Babu-directed film has already gained considerable attention with its Chikiri song. This movie is set to release in cinemas in March.
Although he has delivered good films in the past, Sai Dharam Tej needs a significant hit with Sambarala Yeti Gattu, a project currently in production with a substantial budget. Following him is Varun Tej, who has Korean Kanakaraju lined up, after his recent films like Matka and Operation Valentine did not find success.
Vaishnav Tej and Allu Sirish have not yet selected their upcoming projects. If they do, they will also contribute to the series of major releases expected at the box office.
For supporters who have experienced a succession of unsuccessful films from the Mega family, 2026 stands as a year of optimism for their heroes’ grand return.
