Ram Charan Confirms ‘Peddi’ Release for March 27, 2026

Published on:

The team behind Ram Charan’s upcoming movie, ‘Peddi,’ had initially set March 27th, 2026, as its release date when they first showed a glimpse of the film earlier this year. Despite this, rumors about a possible delay frequently appeared in the news. Reports suggested the film might be pushed back because of remaining shooting requirements.

The producer quickly confirmed the original release date, issuing a thank you note for the “Chikiri” song. Now, Ram Charan himself has officially put an end to all speculation. Speaking at the trailer launch for “Champion” in Hyderabad this evening, he assured everyone that “Peddi” is on schedule.

When asked for an update on “Peddi,” Ram Charan confirmed that filming continues and stated it would indeed arrive on March 27th. He lightheartedly mentioned that “Champion” would release first, followed by Sankranti films, before “Peddi” joins the cinematic lineup. This confirms the film is ready for an early summer debut.

Earlier reports had suggested that Pawan Kalyan’s “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” might take over the March 27th slot, assuming “Peddi” would be delayed. However, both the producer’s earlier note for the “Chikiri Chikiri” song and Ram Charan’s recent comments provide clear assurance. Director Buchi Babu is likely working quickly to meet this date, aiming to deliver a birthday treat for Ram Charan’s fans.

“Peddi” has generated considerable excitement since its first glimpse was revealed. The “Chikiri Chikiri” song received a huge response across various languages, further boosting anticipation for this Buchi Babu directorial. Industry experts expect a massive box office opening due to the high level of interest.

Buchi Babu directs the film, which features Kannada superstar Shivaraj Kumar in a significant role. Jahnvi Kapoor plays the female lead, and AR Rahman is the composer.
